When I use a hashtag on my tweets, it does not display on that # stream.

    > My twitter account is not private.
    > I have checked all the requirement to use #.
    > I heard that @hashtag has to follow you so this will work but I am not sure.

    Thank you very much.

    What’s your account handle, Rabin?

Where do you not see the hashtags appearing? For example, are you looking at your twitter.com/handle list and don’t see your hashtags there? Or are you looking somewhere else?

I believe that following @hashtags will allow you to make sure your hashtags are recorded by their service.

Thank you very much for your response.
@rabTAI is my handle and I have twitted some tweets on #iosreviewtime but it does not show there. I talked to the guy who is taking care of this #iosreviewtime (its iOS review tracker) said my tweet does not show on JSON response. I have also tried other #xyz but it did not work.

    Thanks

    @rabinl:

I see your hashtags fine. For example, in this post (https://twitter.com/rabTAI/status/248502930649518080) of yours, I can see that you used the #ios6feast hashtag.

So, my question for you is, WHERE are you expecting your hashtags to show up? If your own stream (https://twitter.com/rabTAI), or on some other stream (like http://www.hashtags.org/analytics/ios6feast/ or https://twitter.com/#!/search/?q=%23ios6feast&src=typd)?

Without a clear explanation by you, no one can provide input to help you solve the problem. Thanks for clarifying the matter.

Thank you for your reply. Now I could see one of the tweets.I have sent 3,4 tweets on #ios6feast before but did not show up so I have deleted those.

On my side @rabTAI and if I mention some one it shows up but its not showing on others #stream.

I have sent another tweets on #iosreviewtime from @rabTAI. Let’s see if that gonna show up.

    Thank you very much.

@pixpirate If you are doing the same thing — tweeting with a hashtag and then looking in the search stream on twitter to see your tweet — you may be disappointed.

Twitter published this article, entitled “My Tweets and hashtags don’t appear in search“:

If you’re having trouble locating your Tweets or hashtags in search results, this information might help:

    * Are you viewing only Top results? Try selecting All at the top of the search results page. This will show you all the Tweets which have been indexed for that search query. However, we may not show every Tweet in search results pages.

    * Have you tweeted recently? Twitter Search results display Tweets from the past week or so. We’re constantly working to include as many Tweets as possible while keeping the quality of search high. Rest assured that your followers will still see all your Tweets and @mentions.

    * Are your Tweets protected? Only approved followers can see protected Tweets. For this reason, protected Tweets do not appear in search results.

    * Are you using Twitter on your mobile device? Twitter on mobile will not display All Tweets in search results. To reduce slowness and other capacity issues, search results now only show top Tweets and Tweets from people you follow. However, once the results load, you can refresh the timeline to get real time results.

There are 3 views for a hashtag. “Top”, “All”, and “People you follow”. The default view is “Top” which will show the most “popular” tweets within that topic, sorted by some unspecified algorithm that presumably includes retweets and favorites, which may not necessarily include your tweet near the top, if it’s included at all.

The view needs to be switched to “All” before you will see the tweets in something resembling chronological order, with nothing omitted, although “promoted” tweets (paid advertisements) may be ahead of yours.

What I ever I tweet with hashtag, it shows in the stream.

    For example:
    If I tweeted the following,

unable to see my tweeted link in #mrk634 really frustrated me..

it will show in the MRK634 stream.

However, if I tweeted with a link, such as:

#MRK634 Check out my new post in responding to SEO & Social media topics!! http://ow.ly/gYoSJ

I can’t find my tweets within the stream. I have tried all the solutions list above including, select “all”, my tweets are not protect. Tried to put hashtag in different position. Adding spaces.

whenever I tweet with a link in the hashtag topic, it won’t show.

    Please help!

When I typed #AskJerry, all the tweets showed from people who have asked him a question. I clicked on “Compose a Tweet” at the top & a window opened up which had the heading “What’s Happening” & I typed my message & clicked on “Tweet.”

It didn’t show on this page so I checked my profile page & it’s there. Why didn’t show on the correct page? I wanted Jerry to get my question & obviously he didn’t.

My profile shows that I am not protected.

I posted a question yesterday. Can anyone help me with this problem? I can post tweets to people; however, when I type #AskJerry, for example, my comments or questions only show on my profile page so the person I’m directing it to never sees it.

I have the same issue as Elaine Hoffman. I’m wondering about a couple of things.

    1) Elaine, are you still having the same problem of your tweets not showing up in the hashtag streams to which you have directed them?

    2) If not, how did you resolve the problem? Or how did it get resolved?

    3) Could it be that Twitter now semi-censors tweets? In other words, does Twitter now use some algorithm to determine how well liked a tweeter is, and then based on that, Twitter decides whether or not to allow that person’s tweets to be displayed in the hasthtag streams/timelines to which they have been — hopefully — directed by the tweeter?

If so, this would be a significant policy change by Twitter.

I’ve been trying to figure this out for a number of days now, but can’t find any definitive statement on the matter. Any idea, anyone?

I had the same issue. With a little bit of testing I found why my tweets were not getting posted to #StarWarsWeekends

When I tweeted a link to my app on the apple store the tweet was not being included in the hashtag stream, but when I took the same post and removed the link to the apple store the tweet was included in the stream. Makes sense from a twitter perspective as people are paying to advertise their apps. Their is no such thing as free lunch.

So… I bet there are other filters that twitter applies to tweets than just app store links that are blocking tweets from hashtag streams.
