A couple of months ago our friends Catherine Connors, and her husband Frédéric, who already do so much for animal welfare at their own expense, rescued Lily-Rose from a shelter in France. She was badly damaged and had not had a good start in life. She arrived with our friends in an extremely nervous and timid state but after just one month she began to come out of her shell and to show her character... Lily-Rose's leg had been very badly broken in her youth and her former owner didn't care for her at all and so her leg knitted back in all the wrong places. Lily-Rose needs a series of reconstructive surgical operations plus many months of aftercare before all four paws touch the ground again.
