Sunder is a 14 year old India Temple Elephant used infrequently in Temple ceremonies, but has mainly been chained into one place where he couldn't move for 8 years...PETAindia has been in a legal battle with the sadistic "owner" Government Official MLP-Vinay Kore to retire Sunder to a sanctuary since 2012 after an undercover video was recorded of Sunder being inexplicably beaten to get up and once he was up he was beaten back down again. The #FreeSunder campaign has had the support from Sir Paul McCartney, Pamela Anderson, many Bollywood stars of India and literally hundreds of thousands of people world-wide. The India Supreme Court ruled to move Sunder sanctuary by June 15, 2014, but Vinay Kore once again has been obstructing the move. As of June 5th Kore has been stripped of his ownership of Sunder and a police complaint has been file against Kore and Sunders' handler for animal cruelty.
