HOAs = Homeowner Associations. Also to include, COAs, Condominium Associations, POAs,Property Owners Associations and all Common Interest Communities, CICs, with mandatory memberships for the homeowner, or property owner. There are co-op boards and they too, are referred to as HOAs by some. Many times the home and property owners in these groups are referred to as "unit owners," or "stake holders," too. There are HOAs with voluntary memberships as well. Collectively these mandatory associations are known as HOAs.
