The arts in Brockville needs to have a voice. Most of our towns and cities are looking the same. Box stores and eateries are now turning into corporate entities constantly looking for market share. The only things that are left in our communities that make them different are the old buildings, the landscape and the people in them. Therefore, on April 6th, 2013 at 2 pm at the Brockville Memorial Center Hall, we are asking all local artists to come out and help us give birth to the Brockville Arts Council. We are looking for anyone who wants to support the arts, theatre, musicians, painters, sculpters, glass blowers, poets, authors, storytellers, and corporations who supports the arts. All we ask is to bring $10.00 for a membership. This money will be used as our seed to start this organization to grow. Come be a part of the creative economy.
