Even though this has been addressed time & again by the Honorable Supreme Court, the POSH Act 2013 & now the amendment in Companies Act but the problem seems to be growing exponentially & is not taken up seriously by the Companies. Sexual Harassment at Workplace is a major concern in India with more & more women force getting into the working culture. This harassment at workplace has ruined the lives, careers, dreams & ambitions of many a talented & deserving women. For ages, women has been objectified and used according to the will & wish of the patriarchal society. They carry the same notion into workplaces too. Even though an Act has been put in place for this, The Sexual Harassment at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redress) Act, 2013 not much has changes. Companies are averse to making the employees aware of such a provision for the women employees. Not only they take the Act lightly but they make a mockery of the very law by not following its mandatory guidelines.The existence & constitution of the ICC is such a sham. There is no effort to displaying the helpline number. The victim is victimized even more by making her go through an embarrassing & painful process of investigation & then removal from services. its finally the women who suffers. Let Indians open their eyes to this painful reality by trending this hashtag & showing them the numbers !
