Queer People of Color Who are we? We?re QueerMinded, a news and talk radio show focused on LGBTQ intersectional identities, and we want to get the word out about our show and find out what?s going on where you are. We?re a live radio show based in Columbus, Ohio with a national and international focus. Our style ? we?re a little NPR news, a little talk radio, a bit of sass and 100% queer owned-and-operated. We feature interviews with news makers, organizations and people within LGBTQ circles, national and international LGBTQ news, stories and features on issues and trends in LGBTQ communities and fun, informed commentary about pop culture, politics, and more with a queer twist. We tell stories that are important to LGBTQ people of all races and ethnicities, socioeconomic statuses, gender identities and other marginalised viewpoints, and we enjoy putting light on issues affecting different communities within the LGBTQ umbrella. Why are we reaching out? As a news organisation we care about issues related to sexual orientation and gender diversity, and how they intersect with culture, socioeconomics, business, human rights,race, identity, entertainment, government and politics and more. We want to tell stories that are important to people in your local community, and we want to know the issues and struggles facing LGBTQ people of all walks of life where you are. We are especially interested in voices that go unheard or are less conveyed in mainstream LGBTQ media. We would like to be the go-to news source for ALL queer people of intersectional identities, and would love to share more stories from LGBTQ-identified people of the following communities: Native American / First Nations ~ Middle Eastern People of Trans*/Genderqueer Experience Immigrants ~ Veterans People with Disabilities ~ Latin@s Black/African-Americans ~ Asian & Pacific Islander As a small organization, we need help to reach news in all parts of the country and from all of our communities.
