The Water Campus is a world-class collaborative research campus devoted to the study of coastal restoration and deltaic studies. More than $50 million has been committed by partners, including the State of Louisiana, for the first phase of what will be an international destination for leading minds in science, engineering and other specialities. It will also serve as the home for The Water Institute of The Gulf, the Coastal Restoration and Protection Authority and the LSU Center for Ricer Studies, a small scale model of the lower Missisippi River.
