This is a USDOT, Secretary Foxx initiative that includes NextGen. NextGen is an airport traffic plan being implemented in the United States that compresses jet traffic into tight streams of flights creating a passenger safety hazard and also focusing the majority of jet noise into narrow streams. Some observations indicate those noise streams are being dumped onto low income & elderly neighborhoods in a neighboring county and specifically the design avoids exposing the noise to walth residents.
