Fight For Youth 2017 is an amateur boxing match taking place in St. Catharines’ brand new Meridian Centre on Saturday May, 13. This boxing event was founded by Spider Jones in 2012 in Toronto to benefit his youth charity Believe To Achieve. Spiders’ Believe To Achieve strives to help at-risk youth and caught the eyes of Robert and Chiara Megna owners of BayShore Groups, who had the same charitable calling. BayShore Groups became the main sponsor of Spiders’ Fight For Youth event and watched as the event and organization brought in hundreds of thousands of dollars helping at-risk youth through providing training, meals and education. After several years of working together it was time to bring the Fight For Youth event to Niagara and help youth in need to succeed in the Niagara region. Spider Jones and BayShore groups teamed up with Canadian boxing legend Billy “The Kid” Irwin and the team was complete! Billy has reached out to his American boxing contacts and is preparing 12 amateur bouts that will showcase Canada vs U.S.A. in the largest boxing event Niagara has ever seen!
