The word leader is a noun not a verb. Yet, most leader development programs focus on what the leader should do. Few focus on who the leader is. Insight University's Transformational Leadership program focuses on developing leaders to have the wisdom to know who they are and then bring that awareness to their environment. Developing wisdom requires a holistic approach that takes into account not only the leaders' intellectual needs, but the needs of their heart as well. Wisdom emerges from experience, tempered through an educated mind and heart. Our Vision: Insight University is here to assist us in transforming ourselves into loving so that the greater transformation of the planet to loving will take place. Our Mission: The purpose of the doctoral program at Insight University is to develop stewards who will be responsible for the development of transformative leaders. These scholars need to know how to imaginatively generate new knowledge and responsibly assist others to transform themselves through writing, teaching and interpersonal application. It is a role that transcends a collection of accomplishments and skills. A steward is someone to whom the quality and integrity of the transformational experience can be entrusted. The most important period of a steward?s formation occurs during formal doctoral education.
