Impressions on the hashtag #Oscars rose dramatically on January 10 after the list of nominees for the 85th Oscar Awards was revealed.
As expected, the likes of "Les Miserables," "Life of Pi" and "Lincoln" got a fair share of nominations, from Best Actor/Actress Nods to Best Cinematography.
The list generated mixed reactions from the public, some of whom agreed with the choices and some questioning why their bets weren't recognized.

News of the revelation was first announced by comedian Seth MacFarlane (@SethMacfarlane) in a tweet on January 7.
The official nominees were then unveiled January 10 alongside actress Emma Stone (@stoneobrien)

This year's awards night will be hosted by comedian Seth Macfarlane, whose naming itself garnered mixed buzz. Last year, it was Billy Crystal who led the show.
