On 11 November 2015, SPCA Randburg had a devastating fire burning down the marine container that they use as a charity shop to raise money to feed the animals in their care. Container World (Pty) Ltd, Johannesburg, came to their aid by offering to replace the damaged container, free of charge. The new container is larger than the one that burnt down, and will be modified to suit the requirements of SPCA Randburg. Installation and delivery will also be at no charge to SPCA Randburg.
