This is a natural product that "closes the loop" on the flow of nutrients and organic matter through the urban system, so that, instead of being disposed or becoming pollution, they can be recovered for use back on the soil

The Water Environment and Reuse Foundation is sponsoring a research project to give definition to the production of soil amendments from the byproduct of wastewater treatment, a material called biosolids. It can be made into a soil like humus, a compost, a fertilizer pellet or a biochar. All of these uses can benefit the productivity of soil for agriculture or horticulture.
