Rockabilly Rebel is me. Rockabilly Rebel Rob. I am about to embark on a mission dedicating my life and skills to help the homeless town to town. I am currently turning and ex Nasa Shuttle Bus into the most badass food truck ever. "Rockabilly Rebels Grreen-Go Tako" I attended The University of Oregon and hold a Masters in Business Mgmt; a Bachelor in Marketing; and several associates including a Culinary Arts Degree feom Westerm Culinary and an Advanced Mixology and Flare from Elemental Mixology. I have owned Steakhouses, Clubs, a Bar and Grill, and mamaged several as well. I had 9 spots in Best of Phoenix and 3 readers choice awards as well. I have sold recipes to 3 Margaritas; Cucina Cucina; Red Lobster and several single location restaurants. After a few divorces and losing my ass time and time again getting back up... I let go for a while. I hit my rock bottom ans saw the reality of being homeless in Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Venice California. My rock bottom was far from most. I was able to get into a vintage motohome.. . and when it was impounded while i was at a new job I was able to get into another vintage meotorhome. The second one being a 1977 Nasa Shuttle Bus... an Airstream. I started a new job and miss my ex Janelle so much I cant stand it. She left Arizona for her hometown in Pennsylvania. Lancaster.... Amish coubtry. I just purposely went and spent a few months on the streets "undercover" if you will. I wanted to get an idea how different it was being homeleas there vs the west coast where i am feom. Originally from Portland Oregon I have spent a lot of time and money helping the homeless there. Or I thought I was. unttil I ended up in my situation I didnt realize how little of my money actually made it to the people that need jt. The last few years i have been trying to get out of my situation only to get slapped down over and over. It wasnt until a 90 yo Voodoo priestess in Brooklyn NY that i went to as a. ovelty to make a freubd happy told me she saw me in a vintage foodtruck with giant stopkights on top flashibg all green at some festival and described several locations... then said she saw me with grey hair as the sunset feeding what looked like homeless people lined up aand I had a band playing on a trailer stage behibd the truck that two thibgs happened. first was shit got real. second i realized why i couldnt climb back up again. i was climbing the wrong path. My destiny was thrown in my face 3 years.Everytime i started following it good things happened. then i turnwd back toward bettering my life and heading back into the corporate life at it all fell apart. If i explained the occurences anyone wouls have to agree its true. So here I am. getting ready to heas east from Arizona to Lancaster PA. first stop. Why. My wife left me in June and went there only to get into a fight with her sister and ended up on the stteets. well the preistess said my love in the NE was my soulmate and when i showed her a pic of my wife she shockingly said that is your soulmate; and she was aa well feeding the lines of peoplw in my vision as i held your hands. That coupled with the fact i realized when i was there they have an agenda to chase away or lock away tge homeless population in Lancaster County. Cant have the tourists see them for god sake. ... so i am broke ass and hungry still. but somehow god keeps helpong me forward. I scrape by enough to slowly get the rebel rv ready for its journey. and transformation. I produced the biggest and best rockabilly event in us history. Tres Dias - 3 days in the desert 2009. in countless rockabilly and custome car and chopper mags as the best event in the cultures history that no one showed uo to see. planned for 20000 attendies but a bad descision in promoter help.... 2000 showed up. However 30 top rockabilly banda, the biggest pinuo competition in history... and having most of the top car buikdera and bike buikdera and a first class 10 acre outdoor and 500000 sf indoor venue with two 50mph indoor gokart tracks an arcade... 4 bars... 200.palm trees brought in including 50 easter island that i had matt from foundry moto carve into tikis....it really blew away even viva las vegas. but losing $430k in 3 days for a great event doesnt make year 2 happen. so i lost investors and ended up homeless. But my culinary avilities being top notch... business ability above average minus that event lol. i had a chain of strip clubs before i was 30 started from one while i was still attending college.... then add my passiin for rockabilly lifestyle and custom cars. and the fact i ended up working with a travelling carnival while homeleas for a summer....so i know that business as well. and then my experience being as well as helping the homeless. ... its a very unatural combination but a natural fit. So i am going to start crowdfunding and looking for the rest of the equipment for the truck and my first day was Monday Jan 28th. I ran an ad looking for angels on Craigslist. i had in hours a sponsor who paid my food truck insurance for a year. and another who filled my gas tank and gave me a $300 voucher to a great food liquidator in town. Then i had a third offer to meet me to buy fiberglass, pro bondo, primer and paints...which we did. I have in tgree days done 80 percent of the body work and painted the door as a symbol of my walkway to a new life. So there you have it. I am starting a blog as I panhandle and run ada town to town as i headbeast letting god lead my path. my goal is to have the truck legal food truck ready by Feb 14th.
