There is much controversy regarding firearms. How to protect our rights to bear arms and our right to be safe in the public square. Too many lives have been lost due to inaction on both sides. This is not a debate about firearms or any other weapon but is rather a debate about keeping citizens safe so they may exercise their constitutional rights. The 2nd Amendment and public safety are equally important and should be protected. It is not a matter of do we need more or fewer guns, but instead about what motivates people towards violence and addressing those issues while ensuring responsible citizens have the ability to exercise their rights to bear arms as well. There is a win win option somewhere but we have to start working together to find it.

Children deserve to be safe at school and mothers/fathers/family/friends deserve to know they will return home safely.
