The Automation Economy "AutoEcon" represents the 4th major shift in the global economy. The first major economic shift was Agricultural, the second shift was Industrial, and the third shift was Information. Now, the development of robots, big data, machine learning, virtual reality, blockchain and artificial intelligence have reached a point of maturity that will give rise to this forth major economic shift. As these technologies converge and adapt, they will move to take over a large percentage of jobs across the globe. Many job categories have already fallen to the early success of these machines, including factory workers, travel agents, administrative assistants, gas station attendants and postal workers. In the coming years accountants, lawyers, social workers, medical analysts and other high-skilled professional service workers will find themselves with dramatically reduced job opportunities. Re-positioning for this major economic shift is critical to the success of the global economy of the future.
