When one purchases shares, one becomes a shareholder and is required to benefit from the dividends paid out on the back of the performance of the shares one owns. Equally, when one contributes to a cause, whether by physical effort or financial contribution, one becomes an owner of the value of that effort or financial contribution, in whole or in part.

When one does or contributes to doing good, one should be permitted to own the good one does or at least share ownership of the good one contributes to doing.
