This is a call across the USA to foster the bringing down of statues, particularly of Confederate symbols, that motivate White Supremacists, neo-Nazis and KKK racists. The unfortunate incident on Saturday August 12, 2017 at the White Nationalist Rally in Charlottesville that led to the death of Heather Heyer and two others inspires this movement to remove all vestiges of confederate applause, which are painful reminders to all people of conscience, and particularly African-Americans, of slavery and racism.
