The Boswell Book Festival is the world's only festival of biography and memoir. It was inspired by James Boswell, who with his 'Life of Johnson' was the very inventor of modern biography as we know it today. Each year many of the UK's best selling authors converge on splendid Dumfries House delivering a sparkling programme packed with fascinating discussion and debate peppered with a healthy sprinkling of gossip! Art, music, drama and a lively children's programme also delight a growing audience.
