There's no single agreed definition of employer engagement and what it involves, however it is generally accepted to relate to activities associated with the provision of work based learning to post 16 learners. Most importantly it relates to establishing and sustaining relationships between providers of Further Education and Employers - in other words it can most easily be understood as "sales and account management" !!!

Employer engagement is a UK public sector term for business development and sales activities associated with Further Education and Higher Education
