The cost of living it going up. Reducing emissions while saving money on fuel cost is always a challenge. Which one first? How can I do both? Fuel cost goes up but with more fuel efficient vehicles to hit the road in the next couple of years. We should expect taxes to go up as consumers use less fuel. If you do not have the money at this moment to drive a electric car, hybrid or a newer efficient vehicle do not skip on the chance to enhance the fuel you use. Fuel can be improved like the vehicle engines that use them. Don't trust fuels alone to protect your combustion engines even if it's a hybrid. If fuel is used, you can help to reduce your emission even further all while saving money on fuel cost and maintenance. If you go full electric be prepared to pay higher taxes as the race to more efficient engines and less dependence on fossil fuels will need to be address. Remember States and Provinces receive a very large portion of their monies from fuel pumps. Anywhere from 13 - 30% in revenues comes from the cost of fuels at the pump to help pay for roads and highways. So the race to use less gas, could mean higher taxes.
