It is about helping children develop self-esteem, and most importantly: teaching children to inspire and encourage others.   Shimmer goes on a journey of self-discovery and along the way, encourages Ollie the owl, Compliments Cray the chameleon, Inspires Kiki the kangaroo, Encourages Scout the Raccoon. Shimmer teaches them that their gifts can help others, as well. When Shimmer returns, she discovers another important lesson – that we all experience these things and that we each have, within us, all of these special qualities… sometimes we just need help remembering to SHOW YOUR GLOW
