Our goal at #greenmodular is to lead discussion on the future of green home building using modular home construction techniques. We believe that modular construction is superior and we hope to educate the entire building community as to why. Modular homes are green by their very nature. Production efficiencies significantly reduce material waste to below 5% compared to an upwards of 30% material waste in traditional on site construction. Modular homes also achieve superior energy performance. Assembled off site in a specialized climate and quality controlled facility, modular homes building envelopes are comprehensive sealed and an unabridged thermal boundary is installed, efficiently and effectively improving energy performance by 50%.
