While ordinary resilience is quite wonderful, because it allows people to bounce back in the face of adversity, stress and change, leadership requires something more extraordinary; the ability to bounce forward and lead others into new realities. Leadership resilience is more like post-traumatic growth in that it has a transformative quality to it. Resilient leaders are made stronger by adversity.
