A SCI_Arc student-led Fabrication Project at the Old Bank Building at 4th and Main St in Downtown Los Angeles. The Installation opens on Thursday, September 10th, 2015, coinciding with the Downtown Art Walk, and runs through September 17, 2015. Using local graffiti and mural art as inspiration, the design incorporates local materials like cardboard--used for storage and packaging in the warehouses of the industrial area in downtown Los Angeles--in combination with colorful elements to create an interactive walkable 'mural.' The design is led by SCI_Arc students and coordinated by Florencia Pita, faculty member at the Southern California Institute of Architecture in the LA Arts District.
