You want to prepare for emergency and disaster situations such as severe storms, earthquakes, floods, sudden unemployment, uncertain financial times, and more. Some people call this being a prepper. One who believes in being prepared, like every boy scout learns. Being prepared means readying supplies, having contingency plans, and practicing what to do prior to emergencies or disasters.
