Arigatou International (AI) was founded in 1990 by the late Rev. Takeyasu Miyamoto, a Japanese Buddhist leader and visionary who dedicated his life to promoting peace. Today its members continue to support the only global interfaith organization dedicated exclusively to protecting children’s rights and well-being. The name “Arigatou” means “thank you” in Japanese. With its headquartered in Tokyo, and four offices in Geneva, Nairobi, and New York City, AI develops and sustains multi-stakeholder initiatives designed to ensure that all children are treated with dignity and all of their rights are respected and protected. By engaging diverse religious leaders and faith communities, international agencies, civil society organizations, governments, children and young people in more than 80 countries and employing an interfaith and intercultural approach, AI aims to bring positive change for children from the grassroots to the global level.

The documentary crosses religious, geographical, and political borders to demonstrate the growing reality of global forced migration. It further examines children's daily dangers while chronicling the growing efforts of NGOs, working within interfaith and P3 partnerships that serve to safeguard these children throughout their journey.
From Africa to Asia, from the Middle East to Europe, and from Latin America to the United States of America, the film examines how and why faith-based groups are stepping up to protect all children by using their moral authority, influence, and unique assets as service providers. It further documents how more and more governments and relief agencies depend on these trusted leaders who are deeply integrated within their communities to address the pressing humanitarian crises.
