Why is your pumpkin purple? Is a great question. It is to spark a conversation about Epilepsy. Purple is the color of Epilepsy. There is a great organization started in Connecticut called The Purple Pumpkin Project.

This is a team that was created to raise funds and awareness year after year, for a debilitating disease called Multiple Sclerosis. This team has been active for over 12 years. http://*** There are more than 400,000 people in the United States that are suffering from this disease and the numbers are increasing by the hour. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society will use funds collected from the MS Walk to not only support research for a cure tomorrow, but also to provide programs which address the needs of people living with MS today. Because we choose to walk for those who someti...mes can't, because we choose to donate to the MS Walk, we are getting closer to the hour when no one will have to hear the words, "You have MS." Personal Note from the team captain: Thank you for taking the time to read this. This team is very important to me. I created this team nearly 12 years ago after a friend?s father was diagnosed. He passed away a few years ago. This year not only do we walk in his honor but we walk for all people who have been diagnosed.
