?Moral certainty is always a sign of cultural inferiority. The more uncivilized the man, the surer he is that he knows precisely what is right and what is wrong. All human progress, even in morals, has been the work of men who have doubted the current moral values, not of men who have whooped them up and tried to enforce them. The truly civilized man is always skeptical and tolerant, in this field as in all others. His culture is based on ?I am not too sure.?? ? H.L. Mencken, writer, editor, and critic (1880-1956)

Hi Hashtaggers,
FC = Fan Club, not Football Club.
Sarah Lindsay Fan Club
A forum for fans of Sarah Lindsay, a North Carolina-based poet of such excellence that in the event that she still uses a typewriter, one wonders if its typebars & platen are made of sheer diamond.
I am working my way thru Sarah's first collection, Primate Behavior (Grove Press Poetry Series, 1997), which was a finalist for the (US) National Book Award for Poetry that same year. Its title is pure truth-in-advertising: Sarah's poetry is WILD!
I recommend you borrow it from your local library or buy it from your local bookseller.
Happy reading!

Dear Dave,
A long-time Zephead but brand-new to Twitter, I'd hugely appreciate the benefit of your brains & judgment before I Tweet about one of my favorite underappreciated Zep tunes, "Boogie With Stu".
Does Wikipedia have it right when it says that the group never played this song live - that it was a jam between the band & Ian Stewart (the titular "Stu") at Headley Grange; basically a one-off recording done much earlier that didn't make it onto previous albums & so the band stuck it onto what became the ne plus ultra double-album Physical Graffiti?
Also would you say it's fair to say that Ian Stewart is channeling Little Richard as he's banging away on the piano?
Last, of the handful of people/sources who have posted You Tube videos (or more accurately, audios - just the tune itself - because I'm really not interested in promoting somebody's animated baby or rutabaga dancing to this great boogie), is there anyone whom you think highly of?
Compression, precision & giving-credit-where-it's-due mattering a great deal to me, I'd also like to raise awareness of you as the world's foremost Led Zeppelinologist by embedding a "bitly" shortcut in my Tweet. Would you rather that I send people to your most excellent Tight But Loose website (I've already created the shortcut:http://*** or to Amazon, where they can take a squint at one of your books, also already short-cutted http://*** ?
For a bit more about me, or at least a snapshot anyway, here I am on Twitter:http://*** ...
Thank you very much for your consideration of my rather sturdy "ask"! Hopefully I don't disqualify myself altogether by revealing I'm a Blackpool fan?!
Sincerely,
Mike Healey (not Headley)

Hi Hashtaggers,
Please see definition of #ElephantDungRules for cross-reference purposes. It will give you the essence of what I'm going for with my minuscule efforts on what animal shit, including human shit, tells us about ourselves.
Blood doesn't lie, either. (Does somebody else want to kick off #BloodDontLie?)
Dung & blood are two things that always tell the truth.
We who contribute, who void, so much waste in the world, & through whose veins blood courses to keep us alive ? it'd do us all good if tried to be a bit more truthful.
If I make any mistakes in either "campaign," either #DungDontLie or #ElephantDungRules, please tell me & I will correct them as quickly as I can! I'm bound to mess up: # 1, I am a human being; # 2, today's my very first day on Twitter.
Sincerely,

Hi Hashtaggers,
This is chronologically the first (s)category in a compendium of hashtags that I'm starting called #DungDontLie. BBC's excellent story http://*** has prompted my small effort.
Einstein, that slouch, said,"Look deep into nature, and you will understand everything better."
Among all of his other bull's-eyes, Albert nailed this one too. Nature is so endlessly fascinating, inspirational & telling! And essentially, what elephant dung is telling us ? each of us in our own way ? is to stop shitting on nature.
Although I don't intend for these forums, ElephantDungRules and DungDontLie, to be suppositories ? er, strike that ? repositories of gross-out humor (I'm as much a sucker for a good shit joke as the next guy/gal), I also definitely don't want to, ahem, truncate the creativity of biologists, zoologists & other nature-lovers who ? in addition to contributing their brains & passion ? might have a good poop joke to share.
Join The Pach, People!
