Michelle was a vibrant young lady of 34 years of age with two children. A shadowy past but looking for change and wanting desperately to get back into a real community way of life. The problem was that Michelle was homeless. She lived in the bushes in a tent of a Perth southern suburb called Rockingham. As a homeless diabetic, life was tough. In May of 2014 she passed away in a diabetic coma. Just a few months short of completing her obligations to have her children returned to her. Now she is unable to fulfil the promise that she made to her children; that Mum would recover and return home. The two children are now without both Mum and Dad. Michelle was one of many of the South West Australian Homeless People (SWAHP), and it is pleasing to announce that the first West Australian Sleepbus will be named MICHELLE in her honour and signify her desperate fight to get off the streets. This fundraising campaign was started to #bringmichellehome, and we are looking for anyone who can help us. Please donate to our campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help in getting the first sleepbus to WA.
