grass roots initiative geared towards raising awareness and funding for the Flint Community to improve the quality of life to a city poisoned by its waters. Focus on Health, Education and Economic Development. (HEED) 1. Flint Unleaded Initiative will raise $95 million in college scholarships for tuition free college (Associates degree-2 years) for graduating seniors in Flint Public schools for next 20 years. 2. Flint Unleaded Initiative will raise money to establish and support a Parent University/Baby College through pre-kindergarten. This will be directed to counter the 38% illiteracy rate in Flint by starting a Parent University & Baby College, to start earlier with children in rearing them educationally through an individualized plan for their educational success, in spite of expected impairments, as it results from lead poisoning. 3. Flint Unleaded Initiative will raise funds to establish a STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Math) in each elementary school and offer once a month educational fun-learning called STEM-ulate through local partnerships with engineering schools and colleges. 4. Flint Unleaded Initiative will raise $50 million for healing and emotional/mental Trauma Centers and therapist to work with children and the elderly as a result of the lead poisoning in water. 5. Flint Unleaded Initiative will create a local liaison office within State & Federal EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), for continued assessment and accountability. 6. Flint Unleaded Initiative will raise $100 million towards the estimated $1.6 Billion in new water infrastructure. 7. Flint Unleaded Initiative will create 10,000 new local business opportunities as part of rebuild Flint’s infrastructure and community. 8. Flint Unleaded Initiative will build a state-of-the-art Facility to house a Performing Arts Institute (dance, drama, and music) for all Genesee County Students; comparable to that of a Juilliard. Dance, drama, music and the arts are proven to stimulate brain development and enhance ability to learn and excel in general study curriculums.
