Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Fort Collins City Park, Fort Collins, CO Sunday, September 20, 2015 This is our 5th annual Northern Colorado “Stepping Out” Walk at Fort Collins City Park! We’d like to break all our previous records with a goal this year of 200 walkers and $20,000. With your help, we can do it! This event includes a 3K and 5K walk on the paved trails around the lake at City Park. Each lap is 1K. Complete as many laps as you can and you’ll be rewarded with a string of Mardi Gras beads after each lap to help you keep count. Walkers will receive a t-shirt and goody bag. WHAT’S NEW: Adult walkers have the option of purchasing a short sleeve or long sleeve event t-shirt when you register. (Additional shirts are available for purchase so you can have one of each!) Kids 12 and under walk for FREE and can participate in our Kids’ Fun Run in their age group. All kids will receive a prize. Registration/check-in is from 10:00-11:00 a.m.; the Kids’ Fun Run starts at 10:30 am and the walk starts at 11:00 a.m. Be sure to enjoy all the pre- and post-walk food and entertainment! The awards ceremony, silent auction, and live auction will be held immediately following the walk (starting at approx. 12:30 p.m.). We will recognize the top individual and team fundraisers and the largest teams. The top individual fundraiser and the captain of the team with the most number of walkers will each receive a prize! We encourage you to form a team and walk with your family, friends, co-workers, etc. Walking with someone you know is not only more fun but may encourage those you know who don’t know much about scleroderma to participate and learn more about this disease. Click here for some tips on how to build a team and fundraise with them.
