Twitter Acquires Crash Reporting Tool For Mobile Apps

Crashlytics made the official announcement?through a blog post on its website. ics The post said: "What an incredible journey this past year has been -- today, we're excited to announce we're merging with Twitter to take our platform to an entirely new level!" Crashlytics was founded by Wayne Chang (@Wayne) and Jeff Seibert (@jeffseibert), who primarily intended to make the most powerful and most lightweight crash report and analytics tool. The company has worked with a number of well-known iOS applications, such as Vine, Waze, Kayak, Yelp and TaskRabbit. The two co-founders used the same line "joining the flock" as their company, among others, was acquired by the social micro-blogging giant. Before, users had to spend a lot of time and effort diagnosing problem in various features and apps. The services of Crashlytics provide added convenience in a short span of time. The collaboration between Crashlytics' analytics tool and Twitter is expecte to improve many of the operations and apps on the social media website. The announcement was made on January 28, 2013. The terms of the deal were not disclosed to the public. The crash reporting tool will generally be helpful in getting information on the bugs that pose problems on software. Despite the acquisition, Crashlytics will still be rendering services for other companies. Twitter also allowed Vine to continue rendering services to other companies after it acquired the latter. The Crashlytics team said that the company is moving forward and is excited to work with Twitter. The merger will provide a number of obvious benefits, such as giving new features and getting rid of bugs and other problems with Twitter apps. The companies will particularly focus on mobile devices and apps.
