Donald #Trump Challenges Obama, Twitter Laughs

October 25, 2012
Real estate mogul Donald Trump recently received criticism from netizens via the hashtag #Trump on Twitter after pledging $5 million to any charity of Barack Obama?s (@BarackObama) choice if the President would publicize a number of document,s such as his passport history, college applications and college transcripts. Donald Trump (@realDonaldTrump), who used to have big plans of running for the presidency, described the offer as a major announcement and gave it via video on Twitter. He was even pretty cryptic the day before the big reveal. Trump indicated on Twitter and Facebook that the focus is on the United States of America and not on himself. The controversial billionaire started his speech with: ?I have a deal for the president?. He continued: ?If Barack Obama opens up and gives his college records and applications, and passport application and records, I will give to a charity of his choice, a check immediately for $5 million.? The video was released at noon with hundreds of Twitter users quickly following afterwards. The announcement, according to many online users, was not actually as huge as they expected it to be. Here's how Twitter received the announcement with #trump at its peak. Donald Trump has long been very unsupportive of Obama, referring to the latter as the worst president ever. The business tycoon took credit for playing a major role in forcing the president to present his birth certificate, immediately rousing all rumors that he was not born in the United States. David Plouffe, campaign head of Obama, said that questions and more comments from Trump should be forwarded to Mitt Romney?s campaign headquarters in Boston, since Trump is the Republican candidate?s special supporter. The hashtag #Trump continues to trend well with a lot of Twitter users mixing humor and sarcasm over their supposed disappointment over Trump?s October-bombshell promise. Some of the tweets are as follows, especially making close comparisons between Trump and the fictitious evil character Dr. Evil. Here's the infamous video.
